Evidence-Based Medicine is a fundamental concept in modern healthcare that emphasizes medical decision-making based on scientific evidence. From this perspective, my research has focused on evaluating evidence related to radiological diagnostic technologies.
Radiological diagnostic technologies are integral to the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment planning of diseases. However, their value should be assessed not only in terms of diagnostic performance, but also in relation to their application in clinical practice and their contribution to patient decision-making and the quality of care. Therefore, I have examined the usefulness of these technologies from multiple perspectives, including efficiency and health economic evaluation.
Building on this perspective and methodology, I intend to expand my research to the economic evaluation of other medical technologies, including pharmaceuticals. In parallel, I will pursue studies using real-world data to examine healthcare delivery systems, clinical processes, and healthcare resource allocation, with the aim of contributing to healthcare that is more beneficial and sustainable for patients, healthcare providers, and society.
