Self-Introduction
I am developing Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS), which is one of the world’s five major codes, and applying the PHITS code to various research topics. Also, I am developing an all-in-one model for predicting biological responses, such as early DNA damage and the subsequent responses (e.g., cell death), with the aim of applying it to radiation protection and radiation therapy.
Message for Examinees
Simulation study using a computational code and a theoretical model play important roles in interpreting radiation effects induced in human body from the fundamental research such as cell experiments. Please contact if you are interested in the biological effects after exposure to ionizing radiation.
